    I try to keep things at least somewhat standard on the saws we use the most. 16" 3/8 lol pro on the 200t's 20"/24"/28" 3/8p .050 full comp on the rear handles. The odd ones are 36" 3/8p 0.58 skip and the little echo with a 10" 1/4p, neither of which see a new chain very often.

    Hollow braid will flatten out pretty bad. Lots of 7/16 climb lines out there that would work better. The 12mm Sirius is cheap and works well in the wrench.

    I have a dingo for dragging brush and smaller jobs, can't beat how easy it is on lawns too. Mostly I'll be using the ex for loading saw logs and those difficult access jobs here in the mountains.

    Another vote for the 395. I've got two 394's and they do all our big saw stuff. One we run a 36" and the other a 28". They will pull and oil a 42 if need be. The 66 family is great up to a 32" but fails to oil after that.

    Digging up an oldie here but curious about the bmg grapple on a mini x. What size machine are you using? Do you find the "dangle" to be a plus or minus? Any other insights are much appreciated.

    I run mine on six month intervals as well. The 10.5 platinum gets a little misshapen by then. I'm a firm believer in easy and cheap to replace rope bridges when choosing a saddle.

    Never seen that happen to a cow hitch. It's my go to after a clove rolled out and dumped a large log a few years ago. A proper cow hitch has a "better half" where you tuck the tail to capture the bight. Should prevent what happened in your instance.
