    I'm a 200t fan. Actually my preference is 020t, have both. I've owned the t540, run several 201tc and familiar with echo stuff. Nothing compares power wise and spinning up instantly. I paid 450 for one rebuilt and 350 for another that ran fine. I see really nice oem ones for 550-600 these days...

    It's fairly common to get tach readings off an alternator. I don't have the book for the LOR but the autofeed + manual gives instructions on how to program for alt or flywheel pickup. Alternator is charging fine, reading 14.5 v on the gauge at idle

    Toro has an electric dingo out now. I'm curious about battery life. As far as radio control, I think it would be awesome. The auto feed plus guy makes remotes for grinders. Basically the same amount of functions as a mini skid.

    That's how I do with steel cable chokers. Never used chains. Rope slings are still the best for balancing the awkward pieces, imo.

    I've got a few sets of the v-bar type. Mostly use them for mud or soft ground. Rarely for snow. They'll get you places you normally aren't going in a larger truck, especially dragging a trailer.

    Ended up with a morbark tornado. 15" old school Perkins turbo. 1200 hrs. I need to add a winch and paint it but it's definitely a big upgrade from the bandit.

    Akimbo best device even in sap

    Been using the Akimbo almost exclusively since they hit the shelves. It's a great tool but it sucks in sap. So do most other mechanicals but the akimbo really jams up. I bought a Uni just for killing white pines, worlds better in the sticky stuff.

    I use pins like you're talking about on my dump trailer. It's been that way for almost two years and no more wear and tear than bolts. It's two 1/2" pins in double shear.
