New Business Hauling Setup/ Chip v. Chipless

I'm in newyork and my boss is chipless with the biggest grapple truck that can legally go down the road here. I love it but wish we still had a little chipper for many situations. He happens to have land he can dump brush on but after some years he's now looking for somebody to come in with a...

    Let's talk lanyards

I never had any other hh before but I think I'd honestly rather have the hh2 that ropetek still makes bc of the carabiner being so much faster to connect and disconnect the system, which is part of why I use that puller bc is 36 kn and petzl says u can use up to 3 carabiners on that pulley. Let's talk lanyards

I use the petzl rescue pulley with my hhxf if I want a pulley. It's heavy but fits perfectly and you you want to switch to drt you can fit the termination carabiner in the pulley and it tends exactly like the hitchclimber pulley

    Ring on bridge?

I think certain things like a swivel or sometimes when setting up your 2nd tie in for a cut it can be advantageous to either choke your lanyard and connect the adjuster to your swivel or ring instead of going hip to hip or lower ds. Or u don't have to choke the lanyard, it just depends what...

    Saddle setup (picture thread)

I think a big difference we will see in the set up and in regards to what people carry is the amount of ground support the climber has. Some crews like where I work are 2-3 guys at most and sometimes solo. I know if I got competent ground support available I will have things sent up as needed...
