Nice going! Do you have any log trucking companies that would pickup logs in the future? We're spoiled with a great outfit that rarely charges more than $300 in trucking and it helps keep their employees busy. Anything more than a few logs or if it's a longer haul and multiple trips it saves so...
All of notes above, except white pine can play fine many days but def depends on the freeze (pic is 90 deg siz swing on a pine top). Warm back up after lunch, what was perfectly fine in summer may lead to injury in cold: don't jump down from anything, don't reach in weird positions, any jerking...
Ordered a box of nine degree double hard woodmizer bandsaw blades for the mill we got this year. Supposed to be better in frozen wood etc for some winter lumber fun.
Maybe a replacement 14' dump trailer for my 10(?) yr old 12'.
Probably should check in with accountant on where we are as to...
Did a crane removal yrs ago where the crane was on a barge. It was already onsite for building a serious pier system, pretty interesting project and seriously good operator/crew
I did yep, and we have stopped accepting hand carry projects of any trunk/substantial volume. One payday followed by days out with back pain I've learned too often. Fool me once shame on you, fool me ahh ya can't get fooled again...
All hauled
Heck no are we carrying by hand or cart!
Tree is leaning towards house over the deck and no trees 180 to rig off, so speedline options are not great but possible.
Good question, given the lack of access I said to expect some damage
that's my plan, the right angle 140' dotted line...
Rotten pine removal ~24" 70', house side has a long old rotten crack but tree is in decent shape to climb/rig. The tape measure is laid out 8', septic line/tank/cleanout in the way so machine access is debatable with matting on the edge by stairs. Water side has a shear cliff and no trees 180...
Spent some more time tackling a three or more generation trash heap next to a huge barn friends helped us demolish. This hillside was covered in layers of trash we have been cleaning in stages. Dumpster of the big stuff a few yrs back included fiberglass boats, ridgid foam insulation...
Considering buying another chip truck and having it shipped. I got a long wheelbase f550 13k lbs from VA to NH in '20 for ~$1200 using UShip. Just got ballpark estimate of $1.60/mile ($480) CT to ME. @rugger01 you mentioned The Lemon Squad in another thread that checks out a vehicle for you...
