I know we had a 26k truck with a 16 ft box, about 35 yards. It was about 15k empty if I remember right. We had it over 35k on a regular basis. I managed to pop the leaf springs due to the weight. Maybe consider a smaller box if you need under cdl?

I made that mistake once when I was starting out.
I assume the stop is there due to the hoses. Anyway to add a swivel of some sorts for the hoses and etc?
Do you feel this gets in your way at times? Have you ever worked in a unit with continuous rotation? Maybe some of the guys that have gone from a bucket truck to this type of lift can...

Might be something for you. Just driving that track home from feva I would have half those miles.
Seems that sd64 would be a pretty good option for you. If your current bucket is still getting the job done I would not buy another when you know it is not big enough to get a lot of your jobs done.
Seeing the videos you have posted and looking at all the specs on the nifty lift I defenitly find it to be rather impressive. I think that getting in to tight areas would be the main reason I would invest in a lift.
Dielectric is not something I need as I am allergic to power lines and do...
Some of these companies making these lifts seem to be very small. It makes me wonder where they will be in 10 years from now.
I have a friend that owns one of the first jlg lifts ever made. When he called them up with a question they were able to provide him with all info on that machine...
Btw,
I have been part of selling and buying a business more then once. Often times inventory becomes an issue around time when hands change because the old owner does not want to spend any cash buying new product when he is expecting to unload company soon. Not saying that this was the issue...
