    Double Handed Ascender in Comp.?

Good question….. I was wondering same thing…. Would you have to tie a knot under hand ascender ? Possibly no because of the redundancy of two cams each attached to a separately anchored rope. I don’t know? I might send an email to find out. It would still be fast but definitely a time factor to...

    Double Handed Ascender in Comp.?

Sorry to hear that man. I feel you’re pain, I,ve trained and invested a lot of time in practice just to miss competing because of injury. Good luck with the knee and keep your chin up, there’s also chapters that take climbers from outside their area if they don’t fill up, so maybe you could...

    Double Handed Ascender in Comp.?

Wow, that’s really interesting! That would mean you could tether to the double hand ascender with your descent system so change over would only be taking foot and knee ascenders off, and setup would be super fast!

    Double Handed Ascender in Comp.?

It can’t be primary life support attachment. It is acceptable for secondary attachment for extra point. For example if you have a wrench setup as primary and you attach double hand ascender above it with a tether to your saddle you get an extra point for setup. That’s been my experience but I...

    Lacebark Elm Issue

That’s a cool project. What is the condition of trees since the day you posted. I wonder if soil test lab would look at your potting media and give you suggestions. I hope they do well!!!

    Practical pollarding techniques

This is my first attempt at a pollard. I started it in 2017. Pruned it for third time today (about every two years) Like @Mick Dempsey oaks i made initial pruning cuts above / close to branch unions, it feels safer that way. However after maintaining them I wish I was braver initially and made...

HL Supply has the hardware, I just got 5 and 6 mm screws in various lengths 6 of each….. they are very reasonable and really nice to have on hand . I also keep stock on clutch springs , needle cage bearings, oil/gas caps, etc. I just got in the habit of putting in a frequently used small parts...

    T540iXP oiler problem

@Merle Nelson , a stronger oiler is what im hoping for but if I get same problem after changing it out I’ll start experimenting with bar mods. The fine chips from narrow kerf chain definitely clog things up quick

That’s where I’m at. I’ll let you know how I make out with new parts. Im going thru bars quick and it has to be substantially shortening life of saw.

    T540iXP oiler problem

I’ve had this saw for 2 years or so. It never oiled right from day one. Sometimes it oils a tiny bit, most of the time not at all. I’ve taken back to shop I bought it from and they said it was working…. it definitely is not. I’ve done simple things a few times( cleaned everything and ran without...
