    Thanks. The rope has been in service 7months. Pitch is not the problem. I will try the suggestion of compressing the fibers. I appreciate your feedback and will let you know how it works out tomorrow.

    I am using Tachyon(lava) with the rope wrench. The rope has developed flat spots where the wrench activates on the rope. Has anyone else experienced this? I am using a 5 wrap Michoacan with HRC, a hitch climber and an oceans tether. My friction hitch sets well prior to the rope wrench engaging...
