Recommended Climbing boots with toe protection

I do swing! Now, can I down for visit? Although i stumbled on my new boots the other day cruising a big box outdoor store called Gander Mountain. They are great! steel toes, good looking no hard points in the lacing system so foot locking is easier. it is built on a hiker frame, but is built like a tank and i got mine under $150 with tax. they are named after the tallest tree in the world

Has anyone else tried Keen Footwear?

I wore that pair all last year and a different model the two years before that. They make the most comfortable protective toe caps I have ever worn. Every logger boot I have tried either pinches my toes or pushes on my little toe in a strange way. I hardly notice the toe caps in Keen boots. Just be warned though that my last pair didn't last as long as I would like.

Thanks for all the replies guys. Yeah, I actually went with keens after spending about an hour trying on every steel toe my local store had. They are a hiker model, and seem extremely comfortable with good traction. The only thing is they are cut out a lot in the middle so probably won't be much for foot locking.

My new job requires toe protection. Anyone have experience with good climbing boots that have toe protection? Thanks!
i just recently purchased the meindl airstream chainsaw boots from treestuff and i love them so far. its too soon to tell how they will stand the test of time, but as for comfort they're great. the break in period was naturally tough and the first few days-week they were extremely stiff, felt similar to hockey skates or snowboard boots. the in tree performance is in my opinion good, in and out of gaffs. i used the arbopro climbing boots for the last two seasons before switching to the meindls, and really liked them. although the airstreams are good climbing boots the flexibility isnt quite as good i feel the elevated level of protection offered makes up. if youre looking for something cheap the airstreams are not for you, at over $300 theyre def on the steeper side, but from what ive seen so far the money will be well spent. hit me up if youd like to know more.

i posted before reading all the way to the end but i wore a pair of keens and i agree with treeskier; fit well, comfortable but wore out/fell apart way to fast for my liking.

i've been in these for a few months.
all seems well and they're less than a bill online.

i have wide feet and worked in the Vibergs Viberg 148SX CSA for many years and like them alot.
Last two years on Scafell Green Chainsaw Trekker Class 1 and found them to be just great in the tree on the ground in the cold in the heat only complaint is they are bit low cut for saw chip entry not a biggie any ways.
Boots have to be tried, every one is diff just try to get as close to what you want and hope for the best and make them work for you.
Cheers
