    Yes, I guess you are right, I'll have another look. I suppose as long as there is plenty wound in there it should be ok. Just wanted it to be perfectly safe as there will be some big bits! BTW, Cedar Lebanon, fat!! Quite large and spready, but not a definate take down yet. We'll see.

    No other trees nearby and no vehicle access. I did figure a longer strap would be the obvouse reply! But it needs a sewn bar in the end to fit it into the grcs I think, so whilst the straps in the link above looks great, I don't see how the end gets attached in the center of the ratcheting bit...
