    Spar System?

I’ve gotten away from setting my line when doing some removals. I realized I was relying to much in my system to climb the tree rather than relying on my ability to climb with my spikes. Good point.

Safest and best sap remover for your climbing rope

Followed the recommendation from earlier posts and tried lukewarm water and dawn. Only progress made was with aggressive scrubbing. Wasn’t about to do that with 150’ of line. So threw it in the wash on warm water with a full cup of Oxiclean. Let it soak for 2 hours before it ran through the...

Need more than a top handle in a tree

I too reached out on here to get some feedback on this same issue. I went with the Stihl 362 with a 25” bar. I got a killer deal on it. I also don’t have a lot of experience with Echo ground saws, although I hear they are trending. The 362 has done me just fine in the air. It can be a lot of...

    SRT - Hitch choices

9.3 epi on 11.5 all day; Michoacán is by far my fav knot. I climbed with a VT for a while but always had to watch it cause it doesn’t grab right away but the Michoacán does. I never could figure out how to tie the knut lol

$800 to spend - tell me what to buy!

Good point on bar lengths. I think I will invest in a 18” or 20” bar and save the 25” only when I need it

    Which rigging rope to buy!

Lol I ain’t gonna be THAT natty. I’ve caught 6-8ft pine logs running natural crotch on that ol’ blue streak of mine. I didn’t reference a green log weight chart but would guess they weight 300+ lb easy.

    Which rigging rope to buy!

So it’s long overdue but I need to get a bigger rigging line. I’ve been using a retired blue streak climbing line as my primary rigging line. Not ideal I know. So I’m looking at a few options: First is Sterling Atlas 5/8 line. Has the highest MBS at 18,000 lb. Next is Samson stable braid...
