Ovo - thanks - I'll try that ( although trying to find a dry day in Florida this time of year might be difficult) - I'm not an arborist though - what is this "target" that everyone keeps referring to?
Hi - thanks ... I'll try that - more pix later - but the tree's crown and foliage is great - 60+ feet high with a spread of almost 50 feet and super thick.
The "bole" is about 10 ft up .. the "leak" is about 18" off the ground - I'd post pictures - but I don't have any with a low enough resolution to post .
I have a hickory nut tree that's developed a hollow where a large branch was pruned several years ago. It seems that when it rains hard - water collects in this cavity and then somehow works it's way through the tree and out the trunk several feet below. Should I be concerned?
