Nylon Slings
Yikes! Not a good idea to be standing in a potetial danger zone if you dont have to be there. No PPE at all? Double yikes. The company that I work for has recently switched from using steel cable chokers to nylon slings most of the time. I like the slings because they are much easier to work... -

Basically pullin hang with the crane... interesting. Maybe an alternative method would be to balance 2 chokers and to boom away slightly from the climber then cable up once she's free. Not critisizing the technique shown. Whatever works for the man on the limb eatin sawdust. BE SAFE! -

Where to set straps?
Hello to everyone. Depends on the type of tree and how far apart the angle of the two branches are. Never seen one break but have had a few ones to watch. I suppose if your takin some good wood with the pick you could probably choke lower anyway.
