Careful my friend. Tie into a neighboring tree if you dismantle. Also, use a tag line to reduce movement if needed. You can use a hammer to listen for soft spots, drill it and test for soft spots, etc. Don’t EVER “F*ck it” climb.

I’ve got a Terex Woodsman Tac720. It seems to be shaking more than our previous chippers, and it is breaking some mounting bolts. Any suggestions on where to start? The engine is smooth, but when the drum is engaged it shakes a little too much.

No we do not. It's not made to shock load, but is very useful for other things besides srt. We usually hold light rigging by hand, or natural crotch if we need just a touch of friction. Besides that we just portawrap it all.

From one business to another, what are some of the "Musts" to you? Besides the obvious stuff of course.
I would say one of the musts from us is a petzl rig descender. We use that little thing for SRT, and putting tension on branches and stems. Super useful and cheap. What about you?
