    Thanks guys for all your input here. It brings a clearer reality to my situation. I do most customer com via email and was planning a fall tree work special to my past clients, free soil samples for any booking, do you think it's prudent?

    Thanks again, any ideas on a good ad medium? Back in the 60s my dad did landscaping in the LA area, he would have us kids drop 3x5 cards at each house. He also did yellow pgs but it cost a lot.

    This dialog is useful information. As a part time business, i have been giving my estimates for free, but i havn't had huge numbers and i try to get what business i can. Sometimes i know my bids have been used to low-ball the competition. Perhaps some good advertising could lead to calls for...

    Okay, New Jersey, i am in Northern Virginia. Trying to figure all of this out, thanks. My tax man/accountant seems to be a good man and says i need to upgrade from LLC to S-corp. He is willing to help for a decent price.
