Let’s talk about hook lift trucks

We have been running a hook lift for about a year. I decided to go with a full size pre-emissions cab and chassis because of the exhaust brake and cheaper maintenance, and a swap loader hook lift because swap loader has the best tilt angle if you want to use it as a dump truck.
Here are a few pictures of how we use it. We mostly use it to haul our mini crane, but we have a second bed to use as needed.
We don't do any chipping in our operation, as we have a grapple truck
I have wondered if a rollback truck would have been a better choice instead of a roll off, but haven't tried one yet.

From what I understand that is a swaploader exclusive - you can keep the bed locked to the front and use it like a dump truck.
That’s a great looking rig! I’m also moving my C10 on a hooklift, which is a Palfinger HAD185. It also has a dump position with a very high angle. This is done by raising the hoist without retracting the jib first. Not saying either unit has a higher angle or not, just that ours is at least similar. The 2 bodies are a chipper box and a flat bed. Very handy.
