more fun with knucklebooms

I have been dealing with that kind of feast/famine cycling and fuck it's exhausting.
You're not kidding. It's really bad. I've given myself to the end of July to decide what I'm gonna do, Seeing that I'm gonna loose a bunch of money again this month I guess I may already know. I'm out of work all week due to weather. 2/3 of this months income has come from climbing.

So I had a job removing this little dead Japanese black pine and from the time the job was booked the boat was taken from water and completely blocked access for traditional removal, so more fun with Knuckleboom’s!
Oh now you want your lights hung too… good thing it’s Christmas soon , more fun with Knuckleboom’s! Got finished to check out the lights and the sky is what really looked most awesome!! Truck was looking kinda cool sitting in there as well! I love an old cedar shake sided house! IMG_4119.jpeg

@Treetopflyer I spy with my little eye, somebody working on a sunday. Is this you? View attachment 97896
Wow that’s amazing Steve yes!!!!! lol just a crash and burn scenario, the property owner has a water spicket near the one and the other worried it was going to fall towards that building! they started off a ladder and realized quickly that was a dumb idea! We were supposed to do it tomorow but with the pending rain coming I’d did not want to chance driving over there once it was wet! What the heck are you doing in my neck of the woods?!

What area were you working? Yeah I'll be there, in what capacity is yet to be determined. All depends on how the next few weeks go and what happens with the truck.
I was in my hometown Manahawkin.
Hope all goes well for you with the truck and even if is not there , you being there in any capacity is good for sure!

Rick is the man! Underspoken and experienced. Closest I ever get to that is receiving pieces with the rigid grapple from my bud’s saw truck when we don’t have an ideal LZ.

I would not be where I am today without Rick’s friendship and mentorship on life and kbooms, that’s for sure! Just having him answer the phone when I had a question in the beginning was priceless. Now I don’t bother him as much with dumb questions! Haha . What gets me, It’s not like I didn’t work with him as a sub bringing him in before I had a crane for like ten years on a fairly regular basis before he sold me the little white heila crane. Still I had to call him for comfort more times than I can count! I was doing it right just that reassurance mostly! It’s a different animal when the remote is in your hands and not someone like him who’s done it for over 20 years at the time ! Talk about making looook easy! The knowledge about Knucklebooms that man has is incredible! He’s the man! I love working with him. I enjoyed this last round so much I just turned around to book him again cause I miss him already lmao

“And here we see the parent grapple feeding it’s smaller young the preferred choice of sustenance: trees. These majestic creatures turn even the most menacing of trees into little tiny bits. True marvels of the dendrological world.” *narrated by Sir David Attenborough*
