I definitely enjoy the slow time in the winter. This year I've been ticking away at projects in the house, ice fishing, reading a lot, cross country skiing, taking care of my kids when they are sick- young kids seem to be always sick! Probably should start getting my shit together for tax season but I'll procrastinate for a bit longer before I do that haha.

Most winters it's more mud here than snow. This winter it is ice. A couple of weeks ago we had a big ice storm which caused tree limbs to snap all around you while standing outside and trees to uproot. So even though its single digits, it's time to hustle and work into the dark to make up for the other slow winter months.

Temps aren't really a big deal With a few well thought out layers and getting acclimated to it, unless the wind is blowing hard.

Although this morning the hydro fluid in my truck was so cold that the engine couldn't accelerate after engaging the PTO.

Work.. been chilly with lows into freezing temps, which we should have had in mid November but that never came.
Any spare time goes to working on putting the house back together. Which is very slow and tedious, but had an awesome helper for about half the day. I think she earned her color pencils she’s been eyeballing.
Figured it would be a good time to go into debt a little, get the materials before tariffs kicked in. Still along way to go.
