I believe I've tried every major device of the past 10 years, except for the akimbo. The Bulldog Bone is my favorite full mechanical, and HHX is the best hybrid. Proud to support independent innovators like Paul, Richard, and Gordon 
Thanks for your support Patrick, and for the videos and pictures. I like to think I inspired Paul to some extent, because I first met him at the Charlotte area competition and was showing him my original 2 arm OAR device which worked well (MRT) on my one and only rope (Tachyon), however I did not bring a rope and another climber generously offered up his new Vortex which I was surprised to find would creep in the OAR. As I recall Paul was suggesting a hitch be added to aid grip. The next year Paul was there again showing off his new Hitch Hiker device.

I previously tried replacing the RE Nano swivel with the Gyro 3 way swivel, directly on the Bone, to get this spacing effect for DdRT. But that was no good. The way I've pictured it above works much better. That has always been my one and only gripe about the Bone, that it's not quite as nice in doubled rope as I would like. But I think I've figured it out now....

I just keep twisting it around each time. It's going to last me quite a while, and that's before I actually flip it and use the other side. Great design Gordon.

What are the differences between the elongated and adjustable bollards?
I think functionally they are very much the same. Muggs has both, so maybe he would agree. The main difference I think is that the elongated bollard is not adjustable, but acts as a sort of cam. As the arm swings up under load the bollard also pivots in place making the bollard grip more strongly against the friction pin. and since the bollard has 2 wear faces it should last longer then the adjustable bollard. I have an elongated bollard also in the OAR I now offer. There is a balance between the grip a device makes, and its ease of tending, but I believe the elongated bollard achieves this balance.

I prefer the elongated bollard. Feels like it self-adjusts to different ropes. I switch between 11, 11.5, and 11.7 no problem with it. Love it.

Amazing. I think I'll switch to the elongated bollard! It seems more robust too. Less adjustment is better for me, I just wanna grip and rip.

In my experience, they both tend pretty well. I prefer the elongated bollard though. Running that setup on marlow vega. When ropewalking it glides up effortlessly and taking up slack is fairly easy too.

They both tend exactly the same. Go with the elongated bollard, switches between different ropes with no fuss, no adjustments needed.
