Are those Lowa boots? I think I have the same pair. Like em?
Yes, lowa. I do like them, I had the grey/blue ones before and they lasted a really long time compared to other hiking boots I've tried. The soles a a bit stiff, I might get some insoles. Great boots though. You like yours?

New company I just started working for.. haven’t been here too long but not so different than the old crew I was with for 13 years.

My first shot with the Big Shot hit the bottom of the limb I was aiming for, bounced down, and wrapped itself around a stub. There was no hope of undoing it seventy feet up, so I made a successful shot with the yellow spare line that's over the limb above the stub. The dead limb I was climbing after is on the lower right. Not very big, but it was close to the parking area.

It was a beautiful tree to climb...

but not much to show for the effort.

Another Monday morning climb, more dead limbs.

Climbing directly over a fence was a new experience. I had a big tarp folded over it to protect my ropes from all the sharp stuff.
I’ve been following your work threads. Did you get the liability waiver and are you charging for the work? I’m trying to get some jobs but, I haven’t gotten serious about being a business. It seems the only ones I’ve have been offered are rotten Ash or some monstrous hollow tree. I would gladly do some deadwood. Craig

I got the liability waiver, but I've only needed to use it twice so far to get people to let me climb to remove dead limbs. I tell people I don't charge for tree work because I don't want the hassle of having a business license, keeping records, and paying taxes. Most people just say thanks, and that's fine with me. About one in five will give me a little cash or a gift card, and that's fine, too.

I enjoy being that old guy who likes to climb trees and remove dead limbs for free. That's probably as close to being one-of-a-kind as you can get.
