Fu*%face Von Clownstick

Yep. I asked for facts and specifics and got beat down with falsehoods and inane memes. Ouch...
Ironically, the Trump camp believe that the facts that have been presented against him are just as false; the memes presented to them, just as inane. The problem is that there’s no way to get anyone to see a truth they are willfully ignoring. The Republicans may be worse about this, but the Democratic party is so full of shit too, that the Republicans aren’t wrong in just calling the bulk of what they say as bullshit too, though the Dems at least like to say more cooperative things.

The most difficult part of having a democracy is that everyone has a say, including the insane and delusional, and a lot of average people don’t have the time or energy, or worst of all the willpower, to analyze things critically and find the truth. Worse yet, those that are trying to act on those highest truths don’t get any attention because they don’t have the money to make the noise that the R’s and D’s do.

I’m pretty sure that this boat is too big for anyone to steer it properly anymore, and we won’t be able to make an adequate course correction. We’re gonna run this general heading until we hit something big enough to fuck it up.

I have posted links before to the 1972 study by MIT that clearly indicates that we were and still are on track for a global, full scale collapse by 2040. I suggest anyone who doubts that to read it.

Meantime, I’m gonna keep developing my personal infrastructure with that in mind. I’m not writing off the possibility that some miraculous events may come to pass, but I am not counting on it. @Muggs posted a video during the lockdowns in 2020, talking about how he lives that I think is worth a second look if you missed it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news Shadow, but there is no cure for what ails @Arb23. He's lost bro. A terminal case if there ever was one. We would sooner have a fact based discussion with a banana slug that with that cult member. Here's to hoping we don't see him at the insurrection 2.0.
Lol...I definitely have a case of nottademocratitis (although I am open to certain non crazy platform positions). Fortunately, my doctor said I'll live a long and healthy life, as long as I don't starve under communism.

I do recognize that questioning things while not being a member of the democrat party/cult thing is dangerous, as evidenced by 45's travails, I'm still hopeful we are actually different than Russia or China.

We won't make this thread great again with personal attacks, and I don't participate in un-armed insurrections of any kind, ever (very low success rate). I'm a "mostly peaceful" protestor who doesn't like kool-aid. My pitchfork is rusty, in any case.

I can pretty much agree with everything said here, except that I think ultimately everything will be fine and life will go on. No harm in planning, though. Last paragraph is spot on. Hat tip to you, fine sir.

My biggest fear is the government printing presses went off the rails during those spending bills Congress was passing in 2020-2022 and we will have 20%+ interest rates and an economic implosion that won't be easy no matter whose runnng the boat next time. That's a scenario where big unrest could occur if folks lose their jobs in a widespread fashion. Coupled with what I think is a terrible foreign policy in this admin, things could get interesting. Just my opinion. Hope it doesn't come to pass.

Seems like societal and environmental collapse has been a slow motion train wreck happening for the last couple of decades at least. Political parties don't seem to have much if any influence or control over the greater forces driving the shit winds.
It has been happening for a long time for sure, and it’s the monied folks that have the power. They feed both sides because chaos, it turns out, is the most profitable state of being for them.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from spending time on US tree forums, it’s that some kind of societal breakdown is what most of you are secretly hoping for.
A yearning for the Wild West perhaps?

Is that last sentence a Trailer Park Boys reference? I hope so.

It’s fine here, since the revolution a lot of French see a bit of civil disorder a bit like National Service.
One of my favorite youtubers is Carl Rogers - kid's restoring an old (300+ year old) farm property in France somewhere...think he's from London or something. Lots of great scenery and wood working.

That reminded me when we were flying out, the ground crews went on strike and walked out while we were waiting on the plane. I was confused and asked the boarding agent - she shrugged and says it happens every week and they'll be back on the job in an hour or two. No big deal. Sure enough, the strike ended an hour or two later and we were on our way.

So now you're worried about debt, deficits, and job loss?

Your boy Trump left the White House with the largest peacetime budget deficit in American history and a national debt exceeding 100% of the economy for the first time since World War II.

Trump is also in a very select group of presidents to leave office with a NET LOSS in jobs. 2.9-3 millions jobs were lost and unemployment rose to 6.3% during Donny's reign of terror...The worst jobs president in modern American history.

How conveniently you “forget” this thing called Covid. You know, where the government (Lord Fauci and his assistant Walenski) FORCED tens of millions of people to stay home. (After all, they weren’t essential). Gosh, I wonder why unemployment was a tad high?

Almost LOL’d at “Donny’s reign of terror”! I’m now certain you have no clue what those words really mean, or how blessed you are to live where you do. How did you even survive those long, dark years of low taxes and near total energy independence?

Nancy P led the largest peacetime budget deficit and an explosive debt expansion under the guise of Covid stimulus. Even more worrisome is that we now think we can print as much money as we want, and it doesn't matter. Hard work doesn't matter anymore, as people who don't work are rewarded as much or more than the folks that bust their asses.

But yeah, covid never happened, you were never locked up in your house and forced to take an experimental vaccine while "peaceful protestors" were encouraged to gather and burn down cities killing over 25 civilians and many police officers, injuring over 6,000 with over $2 billion in damages and Trump was never impeached over Joey's corruption in Ukraine. It was all an illusion.

Comon' man - it's all malarkey.

But we have UFO's. So, it's all ok.

Low taxes for the wealthy and a relaxing of environmental policy that allowed for a surge in dirty energy from fossil fuels? That was so great for us! It was so great, that everyone went out hard to vote for the Don in 2020! Right?

I’m not wealthy. My taxes went down.

Personally, I love fossil fuels. Love them. Like it or not, they make modern life possible. You know, like literally ALL your food, water, livelihood (unless you have an electric Freightliner and chipper setup), heat, AC and communications.

And until you can convince China and India to voluntarily eviscerate their own economies by “going green”, nothing we do will help. At all. Zero.

I refuse to live like a Romanian peasant from 1870 just so some effete leftist can feel smug about his/her efforts to “save the planet” while continent-hopping in a Gulfstream eating Wagyu and Tweet-lecturing me about my thermostat setting and use of a gas stove. All while China has approved over 50 Gigawatts of NEW coal power in just the first half of this year.

And please remind me who was during covid? I can't for the life of me remember his name, but I do remember that he got caught redhanded knowingly lying to the American people about the very contagious and deadly nature of covid..

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/09/trump-coronavirus-deadly-downplayed-risk-410796

Meanwhile Donny was telling the American people lie after lie. Just a small sampling of the lies the cost many Americans their lives-

“It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle—it will disappear.”

If the economic shutdown continues, deaths by suicide “definitely would be in far greater numbers than the numbers that we’re talking about” for COVID-19 deaths

“99%” of COVID-19 cases are “totally harmless.”

“Coronavirus numbers are looking MUCH better, going down almost everywhere,” and cases are “coming way down.”

“We now have the lowest Fatality (Mortality) Rate in the World.”

Children are “virtually immune” to COVID-19.

The bottom line is that under Trump's presidency we saw historic increases in both debt and deficits, historic job loss, a large rise in unemployment, and dead bodies piled up in the fucking morgues...MAGA bitches!
