That sounds really good, especially the turkey. When I was a young Boy Scout my scoutmaster used to smoke a turkey in the chimney of a cabin we stayed in each winter. I have many fond memories of those days, and I always loved that turkey too.Smoked turkey with bacon fried brussel sprouts, veggie "mac" n cheese, baked beans. Looks GreatA simple dinner this evening, but quite good. Tried something new with the steak which almost worked, seared it (not long enough) in cast iron and olive oil, then threw it in the convection oven on a rack.
The shrimp were sautéed in olive oil, with a sprinkle of freeze dried garlic I recently acquired - quite good, actually.
Potatoes were just baked and then split, buttered with Country Crock (the wonders of pretty bad lactose intolerance), and topped with salt and pepper.
What did you all make this evening? Pork and sauerkraut anyone?

Holy cow@Reach
I fried up 4 oysters (flour & water batter; panko crust).
Found 3 pearls ! ! !
The BAD news: The pearls are absolutely worthless.
The GOOD news: I didn’t break any teeth !
That sounds like Good New Year Luck to me !
(Also made some grilled smoked-pork-belly & cheddar sandwiches.)

Traditionally, Worcestershire can be an additional ingredient at the table. But I don't care for Tamarind flavor.Of course Oyster Rockefeller are on spot also
And definitely homemade cocktail is always the best
I like it a little HOT
Wow, that does sound like good luck! And a good dinner!@Reach

Certainly, searing before Sous Vide will create the Maillard reaction (carmelization).@GregManning can I sear a steak or chop first before cooking sous vide?
