I have a swivel too. Just curious if others experience with a hydra to put some distance between the carabiners and rope

My bone creeps/slips like a mofo on 11mm HTP, so I would imagine 10.5mm is a no go?Does anyone know how the bone performs on 10.5mm static. I am wondering because I use srt for my bow hunting setup. Thanks
It works great on 11.1 mm km3 max with about half of the adjustment left. I weigh about 175lbs without gear. I think it has a lot to do with rope construction. Km3 max is pretty hard and tight, especially after its been packed down by the bone running over it. I've never tried it on anything smaller.Does anyone know how the bone performs on 10.5mm static. Just received my Stubby bone today, my old bone gave me three years of hard graft, looking forward to bedding the new one in tomorrow. Thanks a bunch Gordon, it looks great.

Welcome ,Hi my first post here, I've been lurking for some time. Great devices and forum! I've got the compact adjustable bdb and latest bola. I'm wondering with the bola has anyone tried a slack tending pulley? My main intention would be to set up a 3 to one mechanical advantage with an ascender and dmm roller biner on my bridge with single or doubled rope. I also would like to use the bola on the hip d's and would like easy one hand adjustment with a lil weight on it. I'm fairly new to this but finding ways I like to climb without spikes (srt mostly).
The BOLA was, in my mind, an exercise in making the most compact rope grab I could, that could also be released by the user under load............ Or how about using the BOLA with a Rope Wrench above?

Why do you feel like it's unsafe to use a bola as primary life support? No rope grab is "allowed" to be but we do it all the time as an industry.@John_KAYS
These are all great possibilities some of which I'll surely try.
To be clear I'm concluding that you can not use it for single rope without another proper main attachment even if only to advance main line quickly. I believe even the latest top dollar certified adjusters do not recommend this even though they passed testing for it.
I'm still unclear if it's ok for doubled rope to hang solely from that setup clipping both ends to the hydra pulley on my bridge. Wouldn't be for long but just to advance tip. Wouldn't this be the same as having it on the hip d's. If you spiked out and slipped you'd basically hang from your d's.
