Climbers for Christ

BRT...censoring is done by the government

What's allowed in Off Topic is quite a lot more than in the rest of the forums.
Remember what you stated Sept 2017?:

"OK...this has had its life. It only takes about three replies for the clubs to come out.
Get off divisive politics with no goal of discussion. Only to create a reaction
Bob Wulkowicz had a wonderful way of describing this behavior.
He called it a 'Fart on the elevator'
The Farter has a captive audience for their foul spewing so they share. Everyone is forced to endure for at least one floor until the can get off
Hopefully the Farter stays on the elevator enjoying their foulness by them selves
This elevator is open to polite people who contain themselves like I was taught when I was in kindergarten.
There are plenty of other elevators to use. Enjoy the ride...by yourself"

You closed the thread down after only one page---*Not open for further replies.

In the "Tree Free Zone". You don't call that censorship? Try hypocrisy!

It's a privately owned forum, the administrators are free to ban whoever they want, and delete any content they wish.
Balancing what constitutes opinion, trolling, free speech, being an asshole and what chases users away is a juggling act.
Tom does a better job of it than most.

BRT

Please take some time to read about what censorship is from a Constitutional and legal view.

Hypocrisy...youll have to go back 16 years in Treebuzz history to see if that's true. Impartiality would be easier I think.

My friend Bob Wulkowicz and I had discussions about moderation. He was all for an 'anything goes' approach. My place is a bit inside that. Disagreeable works. Foul and nasty don't. Things are looser in Off Topic

No one but Mods have any clue what's talked about behind the curtain. And, unless someone breaks the line of quoting what might be asked in a private Conversation no one knows the discussions there

The most painful part of being a Mod is to take off the velvet glove and bare the iron fist of deleting posts or sending someone to the corner. Take the feeling that you have in this current discussion and put an exponent on it. I've gotten burnt for doing that and it does hurt. Especially since the process has many ramped up responses.

Oakie can sure be abrasive to say the least. He's gotten his knuckles cracked too. No one would known that though.

I’m not a practicing Christian, and in all honesty maybe that’s what is lacking in my personal life....
still I know that hating on people I don’t agree with is not going to resolve any issue.

There’s definitely things I don’t agree with when it comes to organized religion in most forms.
Anyway, true practicing Christians, not the bible thumping know it alls, I hold in high regard, and would even say are an inspiration

Don't worry I'm not trying to convert you :D...only to say it was certainly what was missing in my own life but didn't realize it till getting blindsided by a divorce I didn't see coming. When life spins out of control it becomes obvious whether the house is built on sand or stone.

I don't want to get into religion other than to say that if it's not your thing, there's non-denominational churches that may suit your philosophy better than a religious church. I'm involved in some interfaith adult ministry (divorce and single parent support primarily) and we all get along perfectly well going to different churches while working together to serve the community.

But let's not confuse humor and levity with malice. If you're beholden to sacred cows and towing the party line, knock yourself out. Not for me.

Start your own thread representing your own ideals then and quit bitching.

Going through a split myself, it’s rough. Pretty sure it’s heavily influenced by postpartum. We have little ones. Been accused of domestic abuse, and until we can get into court she has withheld contact from the kids. A support group would be nice, having good friends really helps. I was just joking with a buddy today that we should start going to church to meet good womenfolk

I don't really see you as a problem, in fact, in my ~5 years on this forum, I've noted the useful tree related information you've posted. Oakwilt=nothing; only the 'Fart on the elevator' Tom won't put up with from others.

I got a PM from another member suggesting I simply use the ignore button. I've never used it, but that would be a good solution, since there is no tree knowledge to be gained from him.

Ps. This happens to be a thread called 'Climbers for Christ'. How about you start your own thread? And take the other clowns with you. Do you really have that little to do in your own personal life? Sort of sad....

I think church should be in our hearts to spread love that is the conviction of God. I'll pray for your family situation to improve Flex. He made mountains to climb! May he be with you on your journey!

Put me down as standing with Oakwilt.

If he farted in an elevator on someone, they likely deserved worse.

It's especially sad that someone who just spent all this time bitching about another user would decide that anyone who bitches back has no life. You're not seeing any irony in this? You remind me of a local who sits in the coffeeshop and bitches about how these young, highschool girls dress, these days. When I suggested he stay home and stop circling the swimming pool, drooling over these girls, he flew into a rant about how it's a free country and he can "check out the pool" whenever he wants.

I enjoy the hard-right's spending dozens of hours trying to find a scratch in my over a dozen years of posts in order find that holy grail but they never seem to find the thousands of disease/remediation posts I typed, sent, and were followed. They do the same to high school kids who complain about getting killed by AR 15's.
Quick to condemn but quicker to act on their feelings..which they should vett because they generally manifest as molestation or even rape all the while pushing the Old Testament.

Let me tell you what irony is. The Christians aren't even replying on this thread anymore (the last couple days). The atheists, socialists, deists, anarchists, etc, are here to shout down the "lie" that they believe to be Christianity.

Now, I've never believed in Santa Clause, but, if someone started a thread proclaiming his existence and praising his works-- I would not continually derail the thread by sharing over and over again how adamantly I disagree with their belief. Your overt participation in this thread reveals, at the very least, your own uncertainty; but more likely, a deep seated belief that you are desperately trying to lie to yourself about. *Irony='Climbers for Christ' consuming the minds of those claiming not to believe in Him.

LOL!

Aren't there religious forums you could take you BS to?

...a deep seated belief that you are desperately trying to lie to yourself about...

That's gotta be it, right there. I see Elvis, Jesus and Bigfoot hanging out with the aliens behind the trash dumpster down at the Stop 'N Rob... drinking Jim Beam and eating day old donuts, poppin' pills and polishing up the Probulator... but nobody believes me. They think I'm drinking unicorn piss and huffin' rainbow farts, but I prayed for rain last week, and look... it's raining out! Haven't had much luck with prayin' for a cure for cancer, so little children won't have to die a miserable death... but hey, I'm probably just not prayin' hard enough, right?

You run with that theory, Bubba. If it sounds right to you, in your head, then it must be right.
