Anybody ever treat for this bad dude?

I looked at a job last week where 2 poplars have severe damage. I'm looking into treatment options, probably too late this season and may need to plan for next spring?

a fall merit application would work for next season, depending on the size of the tree you could spray with a quick knock down insecticide now

yup and probing and rinsing their bore holes exposes them to other treatments.
