yard signs?

I had them made when I was hungry in the beginning of the season. Got one job out of it. Don't put them up anymore, word of mouth works best for us.

Unless someone sees you trucks doing the work they won't know who did the work or who to contact. Much of the time people will look as you are working but not stop so as to not "interrupt" the crew to get contact info.

Leaving a sign in the yard lets them know who was there and who did the work. Cheap advertising and it is a form a WOM advertising.

Society ain't what it used to be, people living in the same neighborhood don't chat over the fence as they once did. WOM advertising is still good, but not as likely to get you a run of business in a given neighborhood as it once did.

Here is a site that does the poly bag signs real cheap. Cheap enough that if they get stolen or tossed out you won't mind much.

It's nice to leave a sign up for a week or so allowing the neighbors to take notice.

I have found that they work very well. especially if there is a nice tree in the front yard that has had a proper trim out and very clean. It really seems to work well when you can have four or fiver on the same street, its as if when there are more, neighbors really take notice. So I all in all I am very pleased with sign results. I always ask the homeowner, and they give permish 99.999% of the time. I also come back for them in a week or so. I pay around $300 per 100 with the metal stakes.Good luck.
