I also find that interesting. I had heard the old 11.7 milked a lot, but I thought the new "tight" jacket was supposed to milk almost not at all. I actually ordered my rope with two spliced eyes. I learned how to splice, but I don't have time to do it right now. So if it proves to milk a lot, I will have to cut an eye off! Sounds painful.I couldn't find a sweet spot on the runner. Was too tight or too loose and It was flattening the rope so much that it would slip on me. I was using the same end of the rope each time I climbed on it and also began to notice some hockling. If i tightened the bollard I had to use two hands to break the bird.
Milking the rope equalized the cover and the core and made the rope much stiffer and the rope runner works flawlessly now. I was really shocked at the change and now it runs perfectly!
Was this just the hank that I purchased? Anyone else experience anything similar?
