If anyone knows of one for (no dealers) sale please let me know they are hard to find . One with a short wheelbase.

Looking for a diesel, pre emissions if possible. Would like a short chassis, rear mount, 4x4 would be a bonus but doesn't have to have it. I like our current hi-ranger boom, would be happy to have another. Would go with a elevator if it is possible to keep it under cdl?

Must be really light trucks......feva had told me the elevator alone on our terex high ranger weighs 3 tons. You can feel it for sure.

I have a buddy in town that has a rear mount if anyone is interested pm me. I dont really know much about it other than its an altec 60' working height and I think he wants mid 30s.

Altec rear mounts w/elevator are under CDL.

Find that really hard to believe...not pretending to know everything....but never heard of a 75' w.h. under 26,001 pounds.

Altec did make a number of elevator units on under CDL trucks. They will not do it any longer that I am aware of. They mounted them on derated chassis. This means the combination of the two axles is higher than the total reported GVW of the truck. I have never weighed the one we have so cannot report on that, but it is technically below CDL GVW.

Interesting. If thats the case...then you would get an overweight ticket if dot pulled you over and weighed the truck. Thats dumb. 33 and 1/3 cents a pound for every pound over. Or if you plated it for the weight the truck really weighed, wouldn't they ask why the driver didn't have a class b cdl? Seems to me you would get some violation or even a red tag if the truck weighed more than the gvw stated it should...derated, cheater or what not. Bogus idea.

I know, I bought one. You know also. You just bought mine and weight rating is under 26,000. 25550 I believe. And no, it is not cheating. Some people just do not know what they are talking about.
