Worst Things. To Find In Yards

[ QUOTE ]
5. Solar lights. My personal pet annoyance. I will find and destroy them. Not intentionally. maybe subliminally...

You gotta explain this one, Frax. What's your problem with passive solar?

I usually kick them over in the snow or crush them with my boot well before I can drop anything on them. Not on purpose. I swear!
Just seems that when they are on sale at Wal-Mart, people stock up on them like they were eggs or something!
Plus here they are useless. In summer when we have enough light it doesn't get dark till past 10. And in winter there isn't enough light to power them.
Just a waste of manufacturing and shipping resources.

There have been some great additions here. Yes - the Fisher-Price debris. Can't people move the stuff. Or cars parked right below that really big elm branch that needs dealing with...

And I SO did not want that image of the fat dude in the speedo in my head Cary. Tx for that!

Dog poo, sentimental Dogwood trees right at the base of large removals, yappy dogs, thorn bushes, multiple sheds, mud, golf course turf, and low power lines....

oh i forgot to add the one thing that pisses me off the most. IRRIGATION!! i flipping hate it when someone fails to inform me that there are pop up heads in the drop zones.

i once did a large removal job in a high end property and got a call the next day about 2 geysers of water comming out of her back yard. friggen broken pop ups.

I had a client with two huge bull mastiff, the piles those dogs would leave were problematic enough but the dogs would carry off anything you left on the ground, we had to spend a hour after the work was done trying to find rakes, gloves(now missing most of the fingers) and huge wood they had stashed all over.

I took my bucket truck into a yard to take a dead poplar down and my truck sunk down to it's axels. Then the homeowner told us they just had geothermal put in for heating and cooling there home.

Thanks for the heads up

Removed a failing oak behind a mountain house a couple of years ago in a field of small boulders. Walking was bad enough but the real problem was ... it was full of copperheads. The HO killed four and countless others slithered under rocks. That was the worst for me so far.

funny- I hadn't looked at the buzz for a while and yesterday read this and the part about the solar lights made me laugh. Then I was at a job yesterday backing up(while checking voice mail) and heard a loud crunching noise and looked hoping to not see the owners" suburu and saw one of those stupid solar lights in shards!
