We started working on this huge Oak that fell over in a mini storm we had yesterday. At least 5' DBH. Expect for the last 15 feet or so of trunk wood, and a large limb, the whole thing is solid. When we had pruned and inspected this tree, there was no outward sign it was this hollow.
We've been working all day on it, and only finished about half of it. We had to climb it a few times to get rid of overhead limbs. Tied into neighboring trees and just walked along the limbs. We cleared the downed power lines and cable and phones, so she can get them set back up.
I'll post up more photos when we finish the job.
