Workers comp is killing me

You've been in this industry long enough now to know that some guys got what it takes to excel at climbing in this biz, and some guys don't.

It's not necessarily a hereditary trait either. If your kids are drawn to it naturally of their own free will? Great, let em learn the trade techniques and methods that'll maximize their safety and mitigate the risks all climbers take as a matter of course.

I made the mistake of introducing my sons to the things I love too early. Judo, motorcycles and the tree biz were all too violent, intimidating and dangerous for such wee tykes to cotton to at 8 and ten years old. My mistake. But atleast they won't be orthopedic wrecks like their old man anytime soon. They both found other activities they excelled at, and both make good money doing precisely that with little chance of injury or death on the job if they screw up.

All three of my kids including my daughter were great footlockers though at an extremely early age!

Good luck and be wiser than I was X.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely appreciate that and kinda thought that would be the plan, but you reminded me.
