Its cheaper to keep her!

Get a hand lense and look for mites if Similar to Ash gall mites. Pirone suggests Dormant oil to control before bud break.

Any more details to share or pic.

They can be pretty cool and if its genetic in nature can become a valuable ornamental plant.
