Nice video Mark. How close did the kboom arm come to those wires?

What was the voltage on those lines and your MAD distance to follow?

Closest I came was about 4'.I would guess7k but I usually approach all wires w/ minimum as 15k. So if it was 7 it would be 2'5" but I used 3' for 15k. Most of the time I was at least 10'.only the back leader did I have to move up to 4'.This is all from the side of course I was much higher overhead.

I didnt mention when figureing MID with a crane you need to take into account the distance when loaded. If I started 3' away and load the boom the MID will be violated due to boom deflection.

Nice job Mark, but what is it with you and wires?? Many of your jobs seem to involve them some way or another??

Just happens to be where the trees are and a crane is often the most efficient solution.

Mark. Are you operating the Kboom from the tree, or do you have one of your employees doing that?

I am the only operator...so it is from the tree.

Mark, that to me is the ultimate multi tasking when you can work in the tree and operate your kboom and work around the wires.
