Winter rec climbing south of Worcester, Mass.

Since I have no fresh content today ;-) this is two years ago, climbing with a couple experienced arb friends and a trainee. A little hookage going on and then got to have a quick up and down climb on an Akimbo prototype, very nice! One of these days I'll own one ;-)

Looking at the vid now my DMM hook bag was pristine, it is in tatters now. Too bad, a well designed bag, just not long-term durable. Stopped using my leather ladies hand bag for my hook line, heavier than I want it to be for my rec woods climbing excursions. Now using a sewn fabric New Tribe Yellow Jacket harness bag, perfect size without stuffing it, their stuff is pretty much indestructible so I think I'm settled in for my hook kit.

Nice to see another video Moss.

Are you still using the green Trango Cinch on your hook line or have you moved on to another device since this video was taken?

In an over-the-top extravagant move i’m using a Rope Runner on the hook line now. It just works so great, breaks my heart ;-)

With a “straight through path” device like the Rope Runner, no need to ever use a RADS on a Hook line, just put your foot ascender on the tail and go.
