However, personally speaking I’ll one handle a saw just as easy as breathing. If I’m comfortable, and it saves significant time and effort then I won’t even give it a second thought. If you watch that part of the video again you’ll see that the risk of injury (technique allowing) was minimal, just like the other 20 or so branches that I left out of the vid. Same goes with cutting and not always being tied in twice, if it doesn’t make sense or puts me at a greater risk then I’m not going to do it.

Same here Roger. Reg glad to see that you kept that in your video, as there is no eason why these so-called "dangerous techniques" can't be used safely by an experienced climber.
Great video and awesome job. A few quick questions. At the end when you were blocking down the tree, did you just remove the Rope Wrench and tie a mid-line loop and clip a biner in it to create your second tie in? Do you have the quick link removable pin on the RW?

I think I know what you mean Chris. The ropewrench was now redundant so I revert the climbline back to the DdRT setup, around the tree and back onto the centre D. We didn't take the old fir down entirely, there's was a few live branches that didn't get ripped off. It'll stand as a habitat tree probably long after you and I are dead Chris.
No I dont yet have the removable pin. Thanks
