Wikipedia:arborist

Glen,

Yes, it's an interesting part of the Internet. The fluidity is like using Google.

Someone on rec.knottying put up a knto description page. I wrote a description of an obscure knot that is included.

I actually did most of the major revisions on that article a few months ago, but didn't finish the second half. I still think the first part could be better, but the end really needs more organization, clarification, and neutrality. I encourage anyone to contribute to Wikipedia in their areas of knowledge and expertise, just try to be as sure as possible of your accuracy, and keep the tone neutral. Or post on the "discussion" pages. The arborist discussion page has nothing yet, basically, but on many pages it can help the evolution of entries. Maybe this reminder will get me to work on it some more, or encourage others?
If you haven't checked it out, it really is a great source of information on a great number of things, and it's fun to just browse randomly around.

Well, the jobs not done yet. Maybe I'll try and pick away a little more at it. Maybe some people here might feel like adding or subtracting.
In the Dunlap department, are you talking about "Chainsaw" Al Dunlap? Any kin to you?

Re: Wikipedia:arborist- any comments?

Okay, I just did another major edit, but got a bit tired of working on it. It's hard to know where to stop, or what's not enough. I mentioned in the history comment it does need more work. If anyone has any suggestions, please chime in, or edit yourself if you're familiar with Wikipedia.

Re: Wikipedia:arborist- any comments?

If Al was part of my family tree I'd be calling in favors to have him cut down and removed :) His use of the family name is the most embarassing.

Dunlap Marine Base, AKA Slab City is interesting. No relationship...
