Intrigueing. How does that work then?
Does the leather roll some on the top and bottom of the waist pad after use with the ropes being in the center?
Obviously the leather softens up and really starts conforming to your body as the saddle breaks in. The center ring and the suspension rope also offer wonderful low back support, which can be semi-adjustable depending on how you string up your saddle suspension...Does the leather roll some on the top and bottom of the waist pad after use with the ropes being in the center?
What is the black material you are using for the thimble here...Here’s something I’ve been exploring to reduce side loading. It works but has to be put on and off gently, doesn’t seem robust enough.

Mmmm mmmm. Love your screen name. Rico, like Rico Suave. What is the black material you are using for the thimble here...
Beautiful work as usual Brocky...I have had decent luck using a very tight eye with the DMM rubber grommet in it...Seems to stay put unless I get into really crazy positions, but you do need to be mindful when taking a biner on or off.The one on the left is from a quickdraw, the middle is a grommet, and the last is a piece of “high tech” rubber band. The grommet seemed to do the job, but it would roll out of the eye when in use.
Diversity is just Fabulous! No, afraid not. It is precisely because I love this country and its divesity that I hate what Trump is doing to it. To hate Trump is not to hate America. Just the opposite. To hate Trump is smart; it is the only safe path for America. He needs to go. And as soon as he is gone, to face prosecution for tax evasion and perjury.
Yea, I really like the little DMM grommets, and used them a lot..Here is how I have been running my flip-line these days...Samson Pro-Master 3 strand, a tight eye, a DMM grommet, and a DMM Shadow biner. Rolls up a tree like a mofo, and the biner is alway sitting right where I need it to be..Had the same thought, put a a half inch fid through the hole and then put on a tight splice. Seems to be very secure, thought was it only needed one if it is placed on the spine side of carabiner.
