Yes I agree put it on the leg! Saw pod or make your own. I took some straps off an old paid or chainsaw chaps and just gorilla glued them to my silky handsaw scabbard. Then used electrical tape to tape over that.

Silky on the leg. I went out and bought straps that snap on to make it easier to put on and take off. The straps that come with it are bogus.
Truthfully it hangs between my legs off a keychain beaner on the saddles waist strap. I hate feeling around for it behind me while I'm trying to put it away. And yes I,m cicumsized.
Man, the leg thing just doesn't work for me. My leg goes upside down a lot and also the rope seems to always grab it right out the holster. I hang it on left side, cross draw.. lanyard hangs on the right.
I hang it off my left leg on my TM. It seems to stay out of the way enough of everything else. The only time I have issues with it is if Im hangin my 200 off my left back hip and because of an angle its difficult to put the handsaw back in the scabbard. def prefer the leg over the hip though.

I have my silky tiger saw on my saddle across the back horizontaly. The handle is sticking off to the right side, so I can just reach back and grab it.
I hang my handsaw from the acessory loop on my leg srap. It puts the handle right above my knee wich is at arms length, no reaching down, no extra equipment.
