i have a custom 12' 2 in 1 lanyard made from 1/2" 12 strand arborplex with one carabiner on each end and a prussik adjuster that allways stays on my saddle. i also have a 15 foot 5/8" 3 strand pro master with snaps on the ends for doing removals. i like having a longer lanyard to double wrap on a spar when chunking pieces down. if i need something longer i was taught to use my climbing line tail which i tend to favor alot.
