Whats the best climbing line you've foot locked on

Re: Whats the best climbing line you\'ve foot locked on

My best Climbing line for footlocking will be the Yale Blaze.

The best and safest footlock rope I used is the Beal Dynastat, but only for footlocking old school way, this rope behaves strange with ropegraps, ascenders and other mechanical devices.
Footlocking on a globe is real nice but remember to use a dynamic cord witch will absorb the shock !

For work, every rope is ok for footlocking, but my main access technique is SRT access, far more efficient on the body and less energy loss only for the goingup part ;-)

Remember that the access part is only to get you to your work place !

Sometimes a footlock is good to get the blood moving (especially in the cold), though most SRT systems are more efficient.

I like escalater but It really depends on your style.I actually really like velocity, htp, tachyon. Not a huge fan of footlocking brand new ropes unless its velocity with that sticky coating on it.

Had the chance to footlock on 10mm Armor-Prus in Portland, and have to say if price wasn't an problem that would be my favorite.

I've footlocked on a lot of lines. Escalator (very light and becomes a cable, no stretch) CMC rescues Static-pro (no stretch, becomes cable, made by NEropes) HTP 10mm (not much experience but a little to small for my taste) PMI 11mm Classic Sport (becomes stiff, no stretch) Rocketline (has a stiffer feel to it not as much as true ascent lines but more so than any other climbing line i've used) Vortex my fav, (soft easy to grip, larger, doesn't become stiff, have my personal best on this line.)

Thats my take.
