Whats on your harness? and whats it do?

Re: Whats in your harness? and whats it do?

Derailing threads is my business... it's what I do well.

...and the saying goes, Everybody loves a small a$$ but NOBODY loves a smartass.

Carry on.

I beg to differ...

I have my 12ft lanyard, with the tail cleaned up held by a prussik behind my side D's, a small locking snap with the gate broken off to hang a saw on, a mini biner with a 14oz throwbag on it for line advancing, another mini biner with the friction saver retrieval ball on it, 2 extra biners, one if I need a spare for a quicky double crotching, one with a webbing sling choked off to it for limb handhold/footstep and to clip the friction saver to on the way up the tree. And dogleash snap with 2ft of cord ending in a large non-locking biner for a polesaw lanyard, makes removing it quick and easy.

Beg all you want... I'm old and that makes ME right!

I don't like lots of stuff hanging on me for many reasons. I'm a minimalist in this area. During my pre-climb inspection/plan I plan ahead and take the appropriate gear.

For the most part: Lanyard, handsaw, F.C., & 1 carabiner with sling.

on my TM i have my trango cinch lanyard with 20 foot velocity lanyard with an aluminum snap spliced on, ditty bag with a second hitchclimber, hitch cord and 2 krabs, red weaver first aid bag with bloodstopper kit antiseptic and bandaids for annoying cuts, trigger snap to retrieve FS, accessory krab with orange webbing sling daisy chained for neatness, and a petzl OK Triact krab for random uses like attaching to pantin(retired from climbing support due to drop on concrete, it is marked with red tape so i know which one it is).

I also climb with my handsaw in my sawpod on right leg, stihl 192t and often a kong double hand ascender.

Call me mr. bojangles but i use most if not all on big climbs, I do lose some gear on small pruning jobs.

-6ft lanyard consisting of petzl ok,small curved clevis to tend the vt hitch, and old school steal snap, always on my hip
-2 split tails, one for my vt hitch, other's a spare
-petzl a'md from bridge to pulley, petzl OK pulluy to rope
-4ft and 6ft sling with petzl a'md on both
-prusik loop through small friction saver ring w/ a petzl OK', for removable redirect, and footlock
-2 petzl Williams for the redirect or whatever
-2 hitch climber pulleys
-glide pulley on bridge
-2 small caritools for chain/handsaw
-ditty bag w/ knife, seeds, and nicorette I know it works for me
