what's in your rigging bags?! Show em up !

Exactly, sorry I should've caught that. I find when using a porti over and over with short to no running especially the rope twists up behind the groundie, I'd never let go if a twist (hockle) gets to the porti it can jam and stop a run mid way.
We use 1/2" samson double braid good rope but does twist up by the bag.
It is very important to stretch out ropes and remove hockles during break in of new ropes which align jacket with core...also when using the groundie should have the full length of rope behind him or her and it should be stretched out without hockles...I never get this prob with any rope...but I coil my rope and detest rope bags with a passion....

Porta wrap will pig tail just about anything. THT is straight up through and down.
Port-a-wrap "pig-tailing" is solved by alternating the direction of wrap with each new lowered piece. Pretty sure most guys know that though.

Okay you guys are talking about something way different then what I was talking about with my NRG rope. I thought you meant swells in the actual diameter of the rope. That rope literally measured 11mm, 12mm, and 13mm after a few uses. I was on a completely different page.

Tough question, it depends on how powerful your computer is to edit. I prefer the resolution that has the most frames per second. Slow motion during and after edit is a lot smoother that way.

Not too tough a ? for me to answer. I'm just a dumb ass with a smart phone. I have a go pro app on it . Bout it. Thanks for the info either way. I'm planning on getting some stuff on the memory card soon. Can view it from my phone in HD at least . And I just figured the YouTube account out so I'll be posting non edited stuff up I guess in mean time. Probably gonna be boorrriiinnnggg!

It's the small barrel of the porty that causes the hockling....I always just get my guys to take the rope out the porty and run their hands the length of the rope flaking it out behind them...we never get those hockling probs....

Look I am no fancy dancy climber but I know and understand rope it's dynamics and rigging....no rocket science...just simple physics that's been around 1000's of years...with a little imagination most rigging can be kept quite simple...the THT and Xrings is now truly a game changer..they create such strong light options....THT COME TO ME BABY...

I think between this and that you nailed it swing!

So yes I'm talking about pig tailing not milking. My groundies and I for sure do flake lines out but we do use ropes out of the bag as the rope runs through your hands it's not an issue but by itself it can be just that I wouldn't trust it completely.
