What trailer for an Easylift 87-48AJ or 101-48AJ?

I’m not sure about that in your state.

In Mass and many other states the GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) NOT the GVW (gross vehicle weight) will be what determines whether or not a CDL is required.

For example, my dump truck has a 10,000 lb GVW but has a 16,500 lb GVWR. So without a CDL I can tow a trailer with a GVWR up to 9500 lbs to keep it at 26,000 lbs or less.
I meant to say gvwr.

Here is the flow chart!

I'll add that getting your class A isn't very hard, arguably easier than finding ways to stay under CDL. I just got my class A this last winter. The class is designed to take 160hrs (4-40hr weeks) and cost me about $5,000.

Seemed like a lot at first but your only paying $31.25/hr, then divide that by 4 instructors and 5 trucks/trailers available for your use...

If your on the fence, I had never been in a vehicle larger than 25,500lbs and I passed my state test on the first try. While I was there, there were other students who had never driven a stick or backed up a trailer, and they were doing good as well, by the time the course was over.

Everything changed February 2022
4 week test and I believe 5k maybe 7k crazy

That way 18 yr olds can drive cross country mind you the #1 cause of death of a teenager is a auto accident but now we’re putting them behind the wheel of a 18 wheeler ! Absolutely absurd!

Before that $200 road test and $40 Secretary of State test
Each time anyways if you didn’t pass

There’s got to be the best set up, even with an A restricted license…humm
I'm sure there is, but just get a class A. It's a pain for a little while and then you never have to worry about it again and your life will be much easier/ you'll be able to be much more efficient

Completely agree. Pay the toll to cross the bridge, then never have to worry about it again.
