What rope should I get?

Boy that rope was a huge disappointment. Thing was so STATIC but bouncy too. Like could that be even possible. Any rope with nylon in it I avoid. This was to be avoided but it tricked me. Do not even get me started on drenaline. I blew a gasket the minute I put an ascender on that rope....rope Gods laughed so bad.
I never dared to try drenaline. This time around I haven’t noticed the bounce in xstatic. Generally I’m with you on avoiding nylon. Like chameleon- someone gave me a length of that to try, and oh my, what a bungee cord. It also has a nylon jacket that glazes if you descend too quickly.

Easy there, I've been slowly dropping weight here. Averaging 288 to 292 for the last 4 months. Pretty soon I'll be as skinny and bony as you
My grandma used to say there are those that are built for comfort and those that are built for speed, and she much preferred comfort... I can assure you that my comment was intended to be a compliment....

I bought 150 of drenaline off Treebay and it rarely comes out. It is 32 strand and very tight jacket. Better than yale 11.7 if the rope is wet as the drenaline stays pretty dry. Not great for a big ascent most definitely, but it knots pretty well and rugged as far as wear goes. Over hyped.

We e known each other long enough that it takes more than a comment to piss us off at each other. No harm. No foul. Unless you are talking about 3D printed Shembiner LIKE gear hooks. Grandma was a wise woman.

Newbie here.
I dont want to buy twice and want to invest in best srt rope to start with.
Is there common agreement about what is the best srt rope? Please let me know.
I am thinking about getting 2 different ropes, one for srt, and another one that would work with both srt and drt.
I will be using zigzag and have few extra pounds, just in case it helps with the choice of rope.
Drenaline and xstatic are pretty well versed for srt and ddrt

4.4% to 4.6% is the only info I need here. I rest my case. Nylon makes ropes bouncy. All Polyester is my choice. Ropes I use are 1 2% to 1.4% .....

Thanks for all the responses. I’m getting Yale Blue Moon and Taufelbergrr Xstatic.
I'd you've decided on blue moon I'll suggest you go with @swingdude's above suggestion and grab focus instead.
Idk why vendors (and Yale themselves) continue to claim blue moon = focus / poison ivy cause as much as they insist its the same it isnt... Focus and Ivy however are the same rope just different, vendor specific color pallets of "Yale XTC24 11.7mm".
Not to say blue moon is bad but focus/ivy does edge it out slightly, even though Yale will flat out tell you they're the same thing.

Agree blue moon is no focus. Focus is badass rope. Bluemoon is weak. Not durable. It is good rope but no ivy or focus. I have used them all. Bluemoon was not cutting it. It now holds up my backyard fence.

Enjoying bluemoon on both SRS and MRS, you should too. Recently bought some Sherrill Ivy and it seems good, although flattens on SRS w/ RW. Only climbed it 3-4 times though and no MRS yet.
