what kind of throw line is this?

Its much smaller than the pull cord for a chainsaw of any size. The knot would rip through on the first pull. It works beautifully as a throw line and its yellow so I'm pretty positive its throw line. I like it a lot. Only problem is that its only 60 feet. I would like to get some more. I asked my general foreman and he didn't know the name but said none of the guys liked it so they switched the throw line they issued.

This is it compared to 3mm throw line that is real rigid and slick. The stuff in question is real flex able and knots easy.

Hmm. Well thanks. I've been honing my throw line skills and was completely frustrated with the thick rigid slick line and I tried the other stuff and I was getting my target crotches within 5 tosses. Maybe some one could recommend a throw line? I'd like one that's a bit smaller and more flexible with good knot holding. I'm not familiar with the throw line materials so I'm at a loss when browsing the web for a throw line.

New England dynaglide works for me, it's just the right diameter and slickness and doesn't tangle like the smaller diameter ones. But for tall trees the zing ( 1.75mm ) it might be the choice....I am 6 months into basically retiring my big shot, one less thing to lug around...

Thanks for all the input. Its real hard to find stuff like this out where I'm at. No one around here uses throw line. So I've been having to buy the stuff to figure out if I might like it of not.
