What ear protection are you using with your Kask?

I have a Kask Plasma helmet and I am currently using the orange Peltor cans from one of my other helmets. They seem to fit amd seal poorly. I find they also sit on the helmets headband reducing their effectiveness. what cans are you using and what pros and cons have you found? as far as plugs go I use and love them but they are a pain to remove and reinstall when aloft and need to talk to team mates. Thanks for your advice in advance!

I've never had a problem with the muffs on any Kask.

You might look at moving the helmet up or down...aren't there slots for the head gear? I dunno..never had a problem.

Peltors...the ones with the black cans and the red insert...higher dB attenuation for my ears.

I have the black husqvarna one's from treestuff on my kask. Best pair I have found so far! They fit snug, really good noise reduction, and low profile. I also like the up/down adjustment and mechanism to snap on and off is crisp.

I use the peltor low profile, although slightly lower db protection they fit snug and are out of the way when not in use. Got them from wesspur and they are quite reasonably priced they also stock the ones Tom D mentioned which have a slightly higher db rating. Paul. Ps mine are black and cream.

Same here, I like the Husky ones.

Scrat, I did the same thing and had the same problem. I believe it's the switching from a different helmet... I bought new orange peltors (same as the ones I switched over), and they work great. The black ones are better db protection, but too clunky for me.

First off - i love my new Kask helmet and the flip down smoke visor too! Way more comfy and better fitting than my Petzl Vertex. I've been using some Rockman plugs on the hard plastic loop that Luke sent me with my order - but i usually run a 338xpt so plugs aren't always in my ears. However, if i'm running my 200T, I'll stick the plugs in before i ascend and just use alot of hand signals - man that thing's loud!
