You don't wish you had a tail? I do. All the time. I'd wag it and stuff.Nice, Dooley, treemek is here and will only get better. I feel like pruning and PHC will be entrusted to humans for another 30 years or so.
I like the vid in the OP, especially like the idea of the light weight, extendable pruning saw. Something I would change though, get rid of the tail! Mount the RC ascender at the base of the tree and hook the climber into the rope end. Of course, the fancy drone would need to set a pulley for you top side, but i think it could handle that.![]()
A prehensile tail! Helps you climb...You don't wish you had a tail? I do. All the time. I'd wag it and stuff.
I've seen that right out my window. It is crazy. They were clearing around power lines going up and over a ridge out my back window. It seems very clumsy and quite terrifying. The chopper with a chopper makes a lot of sense, but wow is that crazy. There has got to be a quick disconnect configured into the system, 'cause I could see it going terribly wrong.Maybe it will all look like this -
"Yeah, so I want to make this big long row of huge spinning blades..."
Regan is hilarious, don't forget "I plan on using this device on jagged mountain sides with gusty unpredictable updrafts"
I think the pitch meeting for this device went something like this:
Exactly. The rotating knives!
Here is the Brian Regan bit I was referring to for anyone who hasn't seen it. He is quite good.
