What do you carry on bucket truck?

I was just wondering what kind of things you keep on your bucket at all times as far as necessities. I keep getting into situations where I go.... I need this or I need that but yet like usual it's not on the truck and luckily I have had another truck close by that might have it. I was thinking today as we are lone gunning it out on the line clearance what would I do if something happened where I was in dire need of something. An emergency for instance.. so I went digging through the truck and what do you know... No first aid kit. What essentials, first aid kits, wedges, cant hook, etc. do you have at all times?

lol...i wish you guys could see what equipment we get outfitted with on our line clearance trucks...you would cry yourselves to sleep and wonder how we get anything done. I have come to learn that the only thing a tree crew needs to cut down any tree is a stihl 280, a 192, a 3 strand rope, a rope winch, and a couple fiberglass pole extensions with a saw blade and hook.

and as far as a first aid kit goes...any basic first aid kit can't do anything a paper towel can't take care of. and if a paper towel doesn't stop the bleeding, then its time to reach for the super glue, and if super glue doesn't stop the bleeding...well then you've more than likely just lost an appendage and the ambulance is on its way.

- Full size First Aid/Blankets/Fire Extinguisher/Spill Kit

- My full climbing kit and bucket harness
- Pole pruner, saw, big shot, 3 lengths

- 1 Stihl combo extension hedger
- 2 traffic signs and bases, cones

It really is a wonder how much stuff is on there, or maybe the wonder is how organized we manage to keep it. It's pretty rare we need additional gear.

Porta-Wrap, 2 large slings, 2 clevises, Masdamm rope puller W/ 150' rope, 150' 5/8" bull, 2 1/2" 150' rigging lines, multiple 3 strand rigging lines, assorted pulleys, 2 200's, 2 260's and a 44. 2 sets of climbing gear, hydraulic pruner and polesaw and rope pruner. Our company outfits our trucks, so we are ready for anything at a moments notice. /rolleyes.

you keep what you keep in the bucket itself.

I keep a silky zubat, accessory line that is just a few feet shy of the ground at full extension, a couple slings and shackles for redirects/lowering points, a short lanyard girthed to the metal eye on the boom, and approved biner..
