What is your favorite tree saddle Buzzers (THAT YOU USE FOR YOUR PRIMARY WORK), and what saddles are used the least? And why?

Interesting numbering method Frans.
I use a 3-MasterII (Now called Master Classic)
and a 3 Pro series Master III( Now Morphed into the Deluxe Master)
and a 3 New Tribe
and a 5 Weaver (1040 soon to be replaced by a 1032-Have you any idea how many differing models the Amish sew?...and do you realize that Buckingham has equivalents for most of the Weaver styles).

Years ago I had a Bashlin and a Miller. My first saddle was a Karl Kuemmerling No 1.

I am really attempting to get an idea of what saddles are used the most by the Buzzers. Not a line up of all the saddles folks have bought. That would take me at least a day to remember and list.

I am just interested to see if there is any TRULY FAVORITE SADDLE that all climbers at the buzz use.

What is your favorite saddle? You know, the one you prefer.

The numbering system is random. Not that interesting really. I just listed the saddle names as they popped into my head. There is no paticular order or preference. So #1 does not mean my favorite or least favorite.

2.) Glide as my main saddle and 3.) Buckingham Versatile (my first real saddle) as a backup or when I want to use the batten seat.
 
Frans, I got you-just couldn't resist the opportunity toi razz you a little. My preference actually changes some with what I am doing. My New tribe is VERY comfortable but gets a little cluttered when using multiple TIPs. I really Like the Classic Master with an added bridge and suspenderd and use it the most. Old school buckle-on Weavers are tougher than nails and are really handy to throw on quickly and go up to cut one of two things where you will have little time in the saddle. Obviously I cannot and do not use 4 saddles all of the time... but I have 3 trucks and like to have a saddle on each so that I am always equipped for a rescue or should the need arise to do some climbing at the job that was scheduled to be only stump grinding or a consult. Having a saddle on each truck has saved me some trips and may one day save a life.(Extraneous info regarding your question but it explains my plethora of saddles. Also, rather than just buying all Masters or New Tribes the fact that I have saddles that are not expected to be used much allows me to keep buying new Models in search of a new favorite. Least favorites can be resold or downgraded to a truck where they will be seldom used while the preferred models are on the chip truck for prunings and removals.

I would think that after a lot of folks let us know what their personal favorite saddle is, and why, that I can make a list and post it so folks who are looking for a saddle can get a brief overview before buying their saddle.
 
been very happy with my tree magic for the past year plus, now in a tree motion and still playing around with it so cant really call it my favourite yet.
 
A modified Buckingham Master for removals. I think the top was a lineman's saddle and has an additional web belt. Bottom is from a Deluxe. Stays up- no suspenders- no matter how big a saw I have hanging from the back. I also use a choked of Lockjack and a lanyard on the dees when blocking down and the front attachment is just right.
I was using a Glide for everything else and just replaced that with a Butterfly. Still working on the BF to make it comfy. I ordered a Treemotion but Sherrill said August so I canceled.
There's a Weaver buttstrap in the truck 'cause you never know.

I am a huge fan of my Glide for the following reasons:

-its fully modular
-allows for tons of adustments
-rock solid and built to last
-works perfectly with my climbing style
-perfect spots for fixed accessory carabiners
-big fan of rope bridges vs. webbing bridges

Hugely disappointed in my Glide for the following reasons:

-unbelievably heavy (though suspenders fix that up fast)
-leg loops need more room for sliding the pad
-straps tend to wander until they get stitched

All in all my Glide has been a big step up from the many harnesses that I wore prior to it. For me it was just more comfortable than the Butterfly even though it weighs a ton more. Since purchasing my Glide I have had access to the Kolibri (insanely light and super comfortable), Treemotion (unbelievably light and very versatile), and TreeFlex (currently demoing but impressed so far) I really like the direction that all of these "newer" harnesses are heading, though I would like to see how the longevity of them compares to the workhorse Glide.
