What are your thoughts on this heavy leaner skinny tree

As it turns out, the tree is going to be left there for a while. So no removal

I have limited rigging experience, so I hope I can ask this to learn. Why not set up a ring sling on the spar to rig off of, and use a lowering device at the base?

You can if the tree will hold you, and the rigging forces at the same time. I think the problem is knowing if you trust the tree for climbing it high enough to get pieces down small enough to clear everything.
