What Are You Using for Chokers?

What are you guys using for chokers? What would you recommend for a variety of chokers? What lengths?I have used chain and cable chokers working with others but I haven't used nylon chokers.

We have our own crane and use Tuflex, Tenex, and steel (not all at once

). Crane operators have told me that nylon slings can slip on tree sections. When we rent a crane we either use our own slings or steel slings provided by the crane company.

I really like the polyester round slings. For smaller/lighter brush picks I use flat webbing slings.

I was thinking of getting some Tuflex loop slings and some chain chokers for larger wood.I'm in the process of aquiring a 12.5 ton boom truck and trying to figure some sizes and types. It seems like the cable chokers I'm looking at have low capacities compared to the Tuflex slings that Grainger sells.

I'm like allmark , I'll use them all . The chains are heavy , old school . I like the tuflex with a clevis pin , that pin bites into the wood pretty good. Those 12.5(16) ton trucks have a lot of power. The bang for the buck .
